Empowering Futures, Inspiring Change

Our Projects

 Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Futures

In many communities, the rise of child delinquency poses a serious threat to the well-being of our youth. At CRRECENT, we believe every child deserves a second chance and a strong foundation for a brighter future. Our projects are a call to action—designed to prevent, intervene, and rehabilitate.
From equipping communities with tools for child justice to fostering school-based discipline and supporting juveniles in conflict with the law, we lead with compassion, not condemnation. Through research, advocacy, and grassroots engagement, CRRECENT empowers children, families, and communities to break cycles of neglect, poverty, and crime.

Juvenile Justice Project: A Second Chance for Youth…

Rehabilitation, care, and justice for children in conflict with the law.

Why Juvenile Justice Matters

Children who come into conflict with the law are often victims of circumstance. CRRECENT’s Juvenile Justice Project works to ensure these children receive justice, care, and a chance at rehabilitation.

Addressing the Gaps in Juvenile Justice

Our 2011 research revealed critical gaps in the juvenile justice system, particularly in reintegration and aftercare. With support from partners like REACH FOR CHANGE, we’ve developed programs to bridge these gaps.

Success Story

A Journey to a Better Future (Yaw’s Story)

The transition from detention to freedom is fraught with challenges for young offenders: rejection, lack of support, and the risk of re-offending. CRRECENT, with the support of the Ashmore Foundation (UK), is providing a pathway to a new beginning.
Yaw’s story is a powerful example. At 17, he was incarcerated for stealing but found remorse and a talent for bamboo craft. CRRECENT and the Ashmore Foundation provided him with the tools to turn that talent into a livelihood – a sewing machine, grinder, and drilling machine.
Now, Yaw is a changed young man, creating beautiful bamboo bags and accessories. His story demonstrates CRRECENT’s commitment to reintegration, helping young people reclaim their lives and become contributing members of society.
