WHO WE ARE
The CRRECENT Initiative began in December 2004 with a vision of a world where children have equal opportunities to achieve their dreams. From the outset, the philosophy has been to minimize overheads, directing 100% of contributions to those most in need. Through grassroots engagement, CRRECENT has gained firsthand experience in capacity-building and training. Collaborating globally has provided valuable international and cross-cultural expertise. Our transparency and 100% model have built strong trust with local partners and a vast network of relationships. Today, the organization has grown to over 1500 volunteers assisting more than 10,240 underprivileged children across Ghana.
HOW WE DO IT
CRRECENT’s systematic approach to work typically follows a structured methodology to ensure effective child protection and developments programs. Here’s a general framework they might use
Research & Data Collection
Gathering insights on children issues through surveys, case studies, and academic research to inform policies and interventions.
Policy Development & Advocacy
Using research findings to influence government policies, advocate for children’s rights, and push for legislative and administrative changes.
Community Engagement & Capacity Building
Working with local communities, children, youth, women, educators, and traditional leaders to implement programs that support child development and protection.
Program Implementation & Monitoring
Rolling out initiatives such as juvenile justice reforms, early childhood education programs, and youth development projects while continuously assessing their impact
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Reviewing program effectiveness with beneficiaries, District functionaries, and other stakeholders, refining strategies, and adapting to emerging challenges to ensure sustainable impact

OUR PRIORITIES
CRRECENT invests in disadvantaged and at-risk children and youth to help them achieve their full potential and dreams. Their holistic approach recognizes that all priorities are interconnected. Basic needs must be met before educational success, and comprehensive training is vital for labor market participation and upward social mobility. A strong sense of community is both a prerequisite and a desired outcome of these initiatives.

Child Protection – Leading Boys and Girls Away from Crime
CRRECENT works to safeguard children from harmful environments that may lead to criminal activities. This includes intervention programs, mentorship initiatives, and community engagement efforts that steer children away from delinquency. By providing safe spaces, education, and positive role models, CRRECENT helps mothers and children build a future free from crime.

Juvenile Justice – Upholding Children's Rights
CRRECENT champions fair treatment for children within Ghana’s justice system. We advocate for rehabilitation over punishment for children in conflict with the law, promoting restorative justice and working to create child-friendly judicial processes. Additionally, we support vulnerable children at risk of exploitation or abuse.
